Student Research Submission
Last Updated: 08/28/2024 | All information is accurate and still up-to-date
The OR Program would like to highlight your research projects! We aim to showcase the diversity of research that students in our program conduct across different methodologies and application areas. Your work will be featured on our website and social media. We will also create a series of articles that will be released on the OR website and posted to LinkedIn. This way, potential future students and employers will see firsthand the innovative work in which you are engaged. This is a great opportunity to market yourself to a wider audience, especially if you are in the job market.
To participate, please fill out the following form with your information, a recent headshot, a brief summary of your research, and why it’s important/why you’re excited about it. Please be sure to include interesting visuals! Multiple submissions are encouraged.
Remember that most viewers are not experts in your field of study, so please write to that audience. The general rule is to write at a 10th-grade reading level. This can be done easily by using ChatGPT.
Promoting your Research
Promoting your academic research is very important for several reasons. First, it helps you share your findings with a wider audience. By doing this, you can contribute to the knowledge in your field and help others learn from your work.
Additionally, promoting your research can lead to more opportunities for collaboration. Other researchers might be interested in your findings and want to work with you on future projects. This can open doors for new ideas and innovations.
Moreover, when you promote your research, you increase your visibility in the academic community. This can lead to recognition and respect from your peers. It can also help you build a strong professional network, which is crucial for your career growth.
Furthermore, promoting your research can attract funding and support. Funding agencies and sponsors are more likely to invest in researchers who actively share their work. This support can help you continue your research and make more significant discoveries.
In conclusion, promoting your academic research is essential for sharing knowledge, gaining collaborations, increasing visibility, and attracting funding.
