I have accepted my admission offer. What do I do now? Who is my faculty academic advisor?

After receiving an offer of admission to our graduate program, you’ll get an interim academic advisor. Once you confirm enrollment, expect an email from the OR Program Office. Consult your advisor for help with coursework, specialties or degree course planning.

When will I receive my 9-digit Student (Campus) ID number and my Unity ID? What is the difference between the two?

After you submit your online application and pay your application processing fee, the Graduate School will provide you with your 9-digit NC State Student ID Number. For more information on Unity and Campus IDs, refer to the Office of Information Technology (OIT) website. Your final admission letter from the Graduate School will include your Unity ID and password information. Access your decision letter through the online application using the application password and the personal identification number (PIN) sent to you via email when your application account was created.

How and when should I enroll in courses?

Each semester, before enrollment opens for the upcoming semester, you will encounter an Enrollment Advising Hold in your MyPack Portal. The OR Program Office needs to clear this hold before you can access the online course registration system. Ensure you have consulted your advisor about coursework. Find additional details on course enrollment procedures and timelines on the Registration and Records Registration Information page.

When and where do I submit my official transcript?

You must submit complete official transcripts from each college and university you attended, including degrees and dates awarded, to the Graduate School before your first semester at NC State University begins. Failure to have these transcripts on file with the Graduate School by the end of your first semester may prevent you from registering for the second semester.
