What do the acronyms MOR, MOR/DE, MSOR and Ph.D. stand for?
- MOR: Masters in Operations Research (no thesis)
- MOR/DE: Masters in Operations Research / Distant Learning (no thesis)
- MSOR: Master of Science in Operations Research (thesis)
- Ph.D.: Doctor of Philosophy in Operations Research

About Operations Research Degrees

The program offers three advanced degrees and two minors:
- Master of Operations Research (on-campus and online) (non-thesis)
- Master of Science in Operations Research (thesis)
- Ph.D. in Operations Research
- Operations Research Minor (MS)
- Operations Research Minor (Ph.D.)
Furthermore, you can often secure teaching and research assistant positions across various departments such as computer science, electrical and computer engineering, industrial and systems engineering, mathematics, and statistics.
