Veronica Diaz Pacheco is a Ph.D. student in the Operations Research Program at NC State University. Her passion for teaching, mathematics and decision-making led her to pursue a doctoral degree in Operations Research.

Research Interests
Having experienced the destructive capability of disasters first-hand during Hurricane Maria in 2017, Diaz Pacheco is developing methodologies to help decision-makers and researchers understand and improve infrastructure resilience in the face of natural and man-made disasters.
