Bio

Laura Mora is a Ph.D. student in Operations Research at NC State University. Her work focuses on systems modeling and optimizing waste streams into value-added resources. She brings experience across industry, national laboratory, and academic settings, including Novo Nordisk, Idaho National Laboratory, and NC State’s IDEALS Lab, where she develops optimization tools to improve resource efficiency, evaluate operational trade-offs, and advance circular bioeconomy practices. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants and going to the movie theater.
