Bridges, Noah Noah Bridges is a Ph.D. student in the Operations Research Program whose research interests include stochastic processes and decision-making under uncertainty, with particular emphasis on applications in supporting the clinical decision-making of primary care physicians. He has been an active educator within the health and fitness space since 2017 and hopes to leverage the tools and expertise from OR to aid in the prevention of chronic diseases and improve the quality and efficacy of the American healthcare system. | Ph.D.
Burgstahler, Blake Blake Burgstahler is a Ph.D. student in Operations Research and a teaching assistant for the Mathematics Department. He got into Operations Research in his undergraduate OR course, seeing mathematics used in a tangible way to improve the quality and efficiency of a service provided to a client. He has worked with the United States Air Force as an AFRL Scholar on vehicle routing and scheduling problems and with Delta Air Lines as an optimization intern, building optimization tools for deployment across many projects. In his free time, Blake enjoys traveling with his wife, making music (Oboe) and cooking. Full Bio >>; | Ph.D.

Diaz, Veronica Veronica Diaz Pacheco is a Ph.D. student in the Operations Research Program at NC State University. Her passion for teaching, mathematics and decision-making led her to pursue a doctoral degree in Operations Research. Full Bio >>; | Ph.D.
Duraes De Faria, Victor Victor Faria is a Ph.D. candidate in Operations Research at the NC State University. During his undergrad, Faria participated in many research projects. From 2015 to 2016, he investigated the application of cooperative game theory to solve regulatory limitations associated with the allocation of firm energy rights in the Brazilian Power System. From 2016 to 2017, his research focused on the application of optimization techniques to investigate the impacts of climate change in hydro-dominant power systems. From 2017 to 2018, Faria studied how the effect of field voltage variation could influence the parameter estimation of synchronous machines. And finally, at the beginning of 2018, Faria started to investigate the application of neural network models in streamflow forecasting and energy price forecasting for the Brazilian electrical system. Many of the previous research leads to publications in different journals and conferences. In his undergrad, Victor was advised by professor Anderson de Queiroz, Luana Marangon Lima, and Jose Wanderley Marangon Lima. Full Bio >>; | Ph.D. | Yes
